Best in the North West - Wedding Photographer of the Year |
 Southport Photographer Graham Sherriff became the Wedding Photographer of the Year 2006 at the inaugural North West Professional Photography Awards.
His win was announced at the awards ceremony and dinner held at the Lowry Arts Centre in Salford Quays on 1st April, jointly organized by the UKs top professional image maker’s qualifying bodies. For the first time, professional photographers from both the Master Photographers Association and The British Institute of Professional Photography have joined forces to compete to be the best in the North West. Along with the Gold Award and Trophy for Best Wedding Album, Graham also won silver in the Reportage Wedding section and another silver in the Classical Wedding section, earning him the Trophy and title of Wedding Photographer of the Year 2006. Graham has won this award twice before, but this time the competition also included members of the MPA and had the largest number of entries ever. “This is my best ever win and I am over the moon. It’s always great to win awards but to know you have beaten off such great competition from both the BIPP and the MPA to be the best in the North West makes it particularly special". |
